Do you own a tube fly vise?  If so, what brand are you using?  And, what features do you like about your TF vise?

I have both the HMH and the Renzetti, and by and far prefer the HMH. Its ability to chuck up a tube with or without the mandrel provides a more stable tying platform and its jaws can be converted to tie hook based flies in a matter of minutes. The Renzetti on the other hand has a tapered head that receives the mandrel, leaving all the tying pressure at that point. Which is not bad for tying large bore tubes, but for metal or small bore tubes it requires the use of a thumb and forefinger to support the tube. But both beat using a nail.

I own an Argentinean “Tierra del Fuego” vise with the HMH “Deluxe Tube Tool”, it’s a great combination.
My friends use Renzetti Presentation vises with the Standard Tube Tool and there is no doubt the Tappered mandrels of the Deluxe set do make a difference. They provide a more stable base.
    The secret is the mandrel.

I’ve got an HMH spartan with the tube fly head attachment….metal tubes work great, but the large diameter plastics can be tricky to keep from spinning
